| "SOCK AND MITTEN TREE" -- The 7th grade Girl Scout Cadet Troop 970 has set up a sock and mitten tree at the Collinsville Pharmancy. There are a 100 socks and or mitten ornaments which need to be adopted and a real pair of socks or mittens need to be returned to the tree. These items are for families in the Collinsville area who need socks and mittens to be warm this winter. Our goal is 100 pairs. | James Boyd "Jim" Oslin, 64, of Collinsville, OK, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 in Collinsville. He was born September 25, 1947 in Muskogee, OK to Boyd and Dolores (Reser) Oslin. He had lived in Collinsville for 50 years. He work for Chief Trucking and several other trucking companies. Funeral services were 10am Wed., November 23, 2011 at the Faith Fellowship Church. for about a minute just as Channel 8 TV was airing
a report on the one earlier this morning (after the OSU football

report says this one more like 5.6 magnitude which would be largest

Info on 5.6 quake at 10:53 Nov. 5th -- I suspect each of us in Collinsville may have felt or heard things a bit differently but for me (in an old two story house on a brick foundation) it was more of a steady gentle vibration and low dull rumbling sound. There was no real shaking of anything on the wall or shelfs that I noticed. If your Collinsville earthquake experience was significantly different let me know. Facebook lit up immediately with reactions from this shared experience but more shock (and some fear) for a mostly first time experience than a quantifible event description. -- Ted Wright 1am Sunday
