Herald McTeacher Awards
--Submitted text & photos from Teresa Fine (11/18/2011)

McDonald's representatives Harry and Beverly Lossing delivered a check this morning to Herald Elementary in the amount of $7,327.73 for their McTeacher Night fundraiser. We would like to thank McDonalds and P & K Equipment for making this fundraiser successful. All proceeds from McTeacher Night will be spent to purchase four new smart boards and $3,000.00 for library books.

Lisa Weygand, fourth grade teacher, was crowned Pie Queen of the year at Herald Elementary. The other contestants were Michelle Borthick and Jennifer Christian. These three contestants participated in a morning coronation assembly. Mr. Stacy escorted each contestant and crowned Ms. Weygand. Reigning queen, Ms. Weygand, got to wear her crown all day along with a beautiful sash. She also received a lovely bouquet.
Congratulations Ms. Weygand!
Receiving $50.00 each were top sellers of the John Deer Gator raffle tickets donated by P & K Equipment. Left to right: Luke Pitkin, fourth grader in Ms. Myers' class, Ariana Hall, third grader in Ms. Wilson's class, and Mikaela Deerdoff in Ms. Borthick's class.
