Harl Dean Jarrell (78) died Monday June 23, 2008 in Elk City, OK. He was the grandfather of Emily Wright (CHS 2003) and Samantha Wright (CHS 2000). H.D. Jarrell is also survived by his wife Jo, daughters Penny (Elk City) and Patti (Colorado), a sister Peggy (Elk City), and many other grand and great grand kids. Services will be 2pm Friday June 27 in Elk City where he had been a farmer, postman and later operated the pool hall. -- Ted Wright (a former son-in-law) FOUND -- Black Lab Mix -- Owasso/Collinsville area (Brookfield Crossing Estates German Corner 116th & Hwy 20) Puppy - 4 - 8 months old. Benefit for Mackenzie Sunday and her family this Saturday, June 28 in the City Park. There will be a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk with registration beginning at 7:00 am at the tennis courts. Contact Susie at 527-4521 or Kendra at 857-5566. Adults are $15 and kids are $7. The coed softball tournament registration is available until 9:00 am and costs $150 per team and contact Jay Crutchfield at 906-8130. Registration, for those who might enjoy a friendly game of horseshoes, will be $10 per team on the spot. There will be activities for the kids all day and cotton candy, shaved ice, hot dogs, pizza and drinks will be for sale. We will also be selling KENZIE'S KICKIN' CANCER CREW t-shirts for $10.00 and Kickin' Cancer 4 Kenzie bracelets for $3.00. Various bands will be playing in the park around 6:00 that evening, so bring your chairs and blankets and come enjoy a day at the park and help out a family in our community. Mackenzie Sunday Softball Tournament: There will be a Benefit/Fundraiser softball tourney held on June 28-29 at the Collinsville City Park. The cost will be 150.00 per team "minimum". Stipulations are there must be at least 5 females per team. There will be other activities throughout the park on that day. Please come out and support the cause. We are having a HELICOPTER from ST. FRANCIS around 12:00 to come out and let people see and then a drawing from selling tickets for $5.00. According to City Manager Pam Polk at June 2nd City Commission Meet: 2 lanes of new east Main and bridge will be open within 2 weeks and 4 lanes should be open by end of June.
