Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

"Kindness" at Wilson Elementary

Wilson students continue to study the character trait of Kindness during the month of November. We're working on collecting food for those families who may need extra assistance at Thanksgiving and will donate this to The Collinsville Food Room. Our students are working hard to be kind to others.

The second grade classes chose their students who display the trait of kindness for this week. (11-10-11)

Patchworkers Meeting
Collinsville Patchworkers met at the Library Nov. 8, 2011, and enjoyed a program on how to create tote bags with "box bottoms." Linda Jenkins shared information on how to make a "liberated quilt" by not following the usual rules, and members were reminded to deliver completed Holiday Baskets to the Library immediately after Thanksgiving, for the annual Silent Auction. Reports were also given about the Paducah, KY and Houston, TX quilt shows.
