The
crosswalks at 15th Street on both Main and Broadway have some additional
signage to remind you to stop for any pedestrians. But please be
especially watchful for the school kids going to/from the Middle
School just a block further south. The schools had asked for volunteers
for crossing guards earlier but had no luck. Don't have current

The
City of Collinsville is accepting applications for a full-time position
of Water Treatment Plant Operator I. Under minimum supervision
candidate will be responsible for maintaining water quality and
plant equipment. Position requires general knowledge of maintenance
of water quality and testing. High school diploma or equivalent
is required and must be able to obtain Class "D" and "C"
license in the required time. Must be able to work nights and weekends
and various shifts. A valid Oklahoma Drivers License required. Salary
range depends on qualifications. Full benefit package is available.
Drug testing required.

CHS basketball game Friday Nov. 30th (originally scheduled at
Skiatook's new gym) has been moved to their old gym. JV and
Varsity boys & girls games will be played. [The JrHi plays at

There will be a free workshop for potential producers of fruits
and vegetables on Saturday, December 1st at the OSU Extension
Center located at 4116 E. 15th St. in Tulsa from 9:00 - noon. You

Gerald
(Pete) Spicer passed away Saturday evening (Nov. 10th) while
in Hospice Care at St. Francis Hospital. His services will be Wednesday
at 10:00 at Meadowcreek Methodist Church in Collinsville. -- (From
Susan Babbitt 11-11-2007: Pete is the husband of Marlene Spicer,
Friends of the Collinsville Animal Shelter President and Collinsville
Library Volunteer. Pete helped us in so many ways with projects
in both groups. He made me smile often and laugh out loud even more
often. He was my good friend and I appreciate all the time and help
he offered FOCAS and FOCL. I will miss our talks.)

first place at the Tulsa 7 tournament in Cleveland last Saturday
and won the Phi Beta Kappa Tournament in Miami on Tuesday. The
