Tennis Lessons -- Hi, I’m Steven Chiartano. I am giving tennis lessons to players from beginner to intermediate level. I’ve been playing tennis with the Collinsville Cardinals for 3 years. As a freshman I went to state playing #1 doubles and returned to state this year playing #1 singles. You will be learning all aspects of tennis including forehands, backhands, serving, and volleys. High school tennis teams are always looking for experienced players and this is a great way to start. If interested please call 371-9368.

Brienne Vandiver, Miss Collinsville and Mi'Shell Garrett, Miss Outstanding Teen Collinsville, will be competing for the titles of Miss Oklahoma and Miss Oklahoma Outstanding Teen, May 30-June 6, 2009 at ORU. Brienne will be doing a vocal to "Angels" by Jessica Simpon written Robbie Williams. Mi'Shell will be pleasing the crowd with a dance number to "Footloose." They will be competing in Fitness, Talent, Evening gown and On-stage Question. Helicopter Rides Are New For June 13th Event
Reminder from Coach Lance West that football kids going to 3-day Lincoln Christian Camp starting Monday June 1st need to have their physical form, camp form & $'s and be ready for the bus before 7:30am varsity departure (or noon JV/JrHi). Lance also noted that the JrHi passing league likely would not happen as the other teams backed out. Coach West mentioned that there were about 100 kids signed up for football in the 9th-12th grades. -- Ted 11:30am Thursday 5/28/2009 (May Letter) & (School SIte)Update on Josh Richardson Softball Tournament: It has been changed a little. The finishing touches (i.e center turn lanes) complete the streetscape phase one (10th to 12th on Main) as ODOT crews worked Monday & Tuesday. An application is in for 2 more blocks.
Ted, I was hoping we could put something on our web page about the 6th Annual Josh Richardson Memorial Softball Tournament. It is being held May 29th and 30th at the city park. Lots of events for the entire family. Also, I have been in charge of the umpiring and could use some volunteers to help with the umpiring. I can be reached on my cell # at 688-0399. Just an update on CHS State tennis. 1 singles Steven Chiartano advances to Saturdays round after winning a 3 hour 10 minute marathon match vs Tahlequah. Our doubles team of Dalton Sirmon/Tyler Fellinger were eliminated after two very well played matches. -- Don (10pm Fri. The Cherokee Nation purchase of the former Acme Brick plant land north of Collinsville has been formalized. CHS Soccer Boys played in a thriller last night in Miami. The weather and field conditions were awful, but the Boys played hard and never gave up. They finally lost in Double Overtime Sudden Death 3-2. It has been a good year and a great season for both the Boys and the Girls. Looking forward to next year!
- Alumni game will be played this Friday at the Football field weather permitting. 6pm for Women and 7pm for Men.
