Dalton Sallisbury decisioned Beau Gastineau 7-5 at (215 pounds) in All-State Wrestling -- per 7/29/2009 Tulsa World Editorial: I normally don't respond to items in my competitor's newspaper but today's "vandalism dismissed" article seems (to me) to be a direct rebuttal to my July 20th coverage of vandalism at the Fair Grounds. As it was reported to me by a fair board board member, I had "dismissed" that it was a fair related activity. And I'm pretty sure we are not supposed to be burning trash in the city, especially on city property. And if you happen to have an old stop sign that is carefully put out of the way, that's OK also? My report clearly indicated the caboose damage was of a different vintage ... but was clearly still vandalism. As for the location of that target practice, I'm well aware of Medlock's proximity, but the fact that there was trash in the barrel (in the fair barn) that also had holes in it that left me wondering? -- Ted Wright 7/29/2009
