Both CHS Volleyball & Softball Teams Are Regional Champs ... Headed to State

9/30/04 Update from Emily Wright on the Presidential Debate: It was really cool even though I didn't actually get to go into the debate hall. I was with the press instead and we ran transcripts (the debate, word for word) to the thousands of press people in the Wellness Center. I was assigned to spin ally where all of the representatives and senators went after the debate to give interviews. I saw Madeline Albright, John McCain, General Wesley Clark, and a bunch of other politicians I didn't know. :) It was really interesting to be there and see how things worked.

College News: For Collinsville students off at college (or parents of), I'd be glad to have a report on how things are for you at your campus for cvilleok.com viewers.
I couldn't resist adding an update from Emily Wright at Univ. of Miami: as she continues to dodge hurricanes, got to see the Dalai Lama last week and will be a document runner at the Bush-Kerry presidential debates Sept. 30. She even had time for marine biology, calculus and chemistry tests last week. -- Ted 9/26/04

Congratulations are due to the Collinsville Jr High softball team. They are the winners of their district. In district play they outscored their opponents by 22 points -- Angela Pitts 9/27/2004
I would like to request that the youth football teams be mentioned. The 4th and 6th grade teams are undefeated and the 5th grade has only one loss. They are the future of the sports programs and they deserve some credit with the way the are playing. Tim Rabbitt -- 9/23/2004
