I
received a call Monday (Dec. 4th) from Josh Kelley identifying himself
as the young man who had been struck by lightning last Wednesday
(Nov 29th ~4pm) as the initial front of this huge snow storm passed
through Collinsville. Josh said he was walking outside at his home
(near 126th and Garnett) and has just reached out to open the door
handle on his car as the lightning struck. He said his hand was
burned and he ending up on the ground but remained conscious. He
said it very loud and he was barely able to straighten out his right
arm for at least 15 minutes after being struck. He was checked out
by Collinsville EMS but was not hospitalized. -- Ted 12:25pm 12-4-2006 |
