Shawn Koscheski (#1) made the tackle on the game's opening kickoff.
Pryor had scored quickly and Collinsville had threatened but was intercepted, before Carter Rasmussen (#85) intercepted a Pryor pass in Collinsville territory and returned it to the Pryor 24 to set up the initial Cardinal score.
Shane Goossen (#21) broke free with a Derek Iannapollo pass and scored from 25 yards out at 1:47 in the first quarter to close to 6-7. The extra point attempt was wide.
Shane Goossen (#21) recovered a Pryor fumble and retruned it about 5 yards to the Pryor 30 late in the first quarter. Pryor intercepted a Collinsville pass 2 plays later and a few plays later scored on an 85 yard run as time expired on the first quarter for a 6-14 score.
Keenan Hamilton (#20) make the tackle on this play while it appears two of his Cardinal teammates are being fouled (a hold which was called) and likely a hand to the face.
Derek Iannapollo (#10) completed this pass to Shane Goossen which covered from the Collinsville 13 down to Pryor's 15 yard line early in the 2nd quarter.
Keenan Priddy (#40) scored on this 4th and 1 yard run at 9:05 in the 2nd quarter to bring the score to 12-14. The Cards went for a 2-point conversion with the pass attempts bouncing off 3 or 4 players before hitting the ground.
T.J. Johnson (#6) caught this Derek Iannapollo pass near the Cardinal 21 yard line in the 3rd quarter starting a Cardinal scoring drive after Pryor was already up 12-31.
The offensive line cleared a path for Keenan Priddy (who is just on his way to take the handoff from Iannapollo) to score another 1 yard touchdown. The score at 4:59 in the third quarter went to 19-31 after Oliver Noesen's kick split the uprights.
Dylan Cook (#18) took this reverse to the Collinsville 45 yard line after the Cards took over on down at the Collinsville 27 late in the 3rd quarter.
Shane Goossen (#21) left these two Pryor defenders on the turf as he completed a 60 yard touchdown play with a Derek Iannapollo pass with just 16.4 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. Noesen's extra point kick (below) moved the Cardinals within 5 points at 26-31 with a scoreless quarter remaining.
I've never been very good at scrabble but seems if you changed the order of these officials one could spell a word or two? -- Ted
Collinsville only had the ball for one brief possession in the 4th quarter. Shane Goossen (#21) got Collinsville out to the Pryor 46 with this pass (after starting at the 9 following a Pryor punt at 7:25). A pass to Cook reached the 40. The next play resulted in Pryor recovering a fumble at their own 25 at 6:48. Pryor managed to run out the remaining clock to advance in the playoffs.
Collinsville's seniors left the field for the final time as the season ended for the football Cardinals (above) .
