Helm lost his bid to win a State Wrestling Championship as a freshman as he dropped
a 3-2 decision to Quinton from Harrah. Helm appeared to have a takedown in the
second period that would have given him a 3-0 lead. However the ref called them
off the mat and the score remained 1-0. With the loss Helm finished 2nd at 119

Wrestling Status: The Cardinal Wrestling team placed 7 wrestlers in the top
6 and qualified 4 for the Okla State Tournament next
weekend at the Fairgrounds Arena in OKC. Jr 160 pounder Cory Snow
won the regional championship while Freshman Dylan Helm placed 2nd at 119
lbs, Jr Josh Pennington finished 4th at 152 lbs, Sr Jayce Crowder
placed 3rd at 171 lbs. Fr Zach Abkemeier placed 5th at 125 lbs, Soph Isaac Dyer
finished 5th at 145 lbs while Fr Jake Barton placed 6th at 135 lbs. Collinsville
placed 7th as a team in the 16 team tournament. The first round of the State Tournament
starts on Friday Feb. 26th at 10:30. More info on pairings on Weds. -- Jim Riley

Boys Beat Skiatook With Miracle Shot February

Won Also On Basketball Senior Night | CHS
Basketball Boys won a 54-51 thriller over Skiatook with a (beyond) half court
buzzer beater to end double overtime. Reece Montgomery had the final shot in an
outstanding team effort as the Cardinals kept finding a way to scrap back in a
game that looked like it would be a Skiatook blowout in the first half. The CHS
Girls won 62-43 with less drama on Senior Night. -- Ted 10:30pm Friday Feb 19,

City of Collinsville will have a groundbreaking ceremony next Tuesday,
February 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the City Park. Magnum Construction is
the successful bidder and will begin mobilizing equipment and materials next week!
Its a 150 day project; therefore we are planning a grand opening for July
