Dave Holliday (Special Assistant to the Colorado Rockies General Manager) was the guest speaker at the CHS Baseball Diamond Dinner and Silent Auction.
Master of Ceremonies (Chris Lincoln, left) introduced a "bonus" speaker for the event with University of Oklahoma punter Tress Way discussing his outstanding year for the football Sooners as well as his high school days at Union (with choices between baseball & football). (More on Tress Way .. sorry Poke fans). Tress' brother Cole also attended and will likely punt for the University of Tulsa soon.
A few of the 2010 CHS Baseball players.
CHS Head Baseball Coach Tonty Reeder is looking forward to this his 17th year as the Cardinal coach. The first scrimmage is Feb. 16th (weather permitting). The CHS Cards will play Sperry in the brand new downtown Tulsa Driller's stadium April 15th. (Complete 2010 schedules)
George Frazier (also with the Rockies and a previous Diamond Dinner speaker) provided a Rockies ticket package that was auctioned to benefit the CHS baseball program.
Jose Olazagasti won the drawing for the signed batting helmet.
These minature bats were just one of the many items auctioned to support CHS baseball. Chris Lincoln's wife won the bid for Garth Brooks Las Vagas tickets with Garth pledging to match the bid.
