National Junior Olympics
Two Collinsville athletes qualifed for the USATF National Junior Olympics during the Region 9 Championships at Wichita State University on July 11-12. The USATF Junior Olympics are a series of meets consisting of preliminary, Association, and Regional meets to qualify for the National meet. The top three finishers from the Regional meet advance to the National meet in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Results from the Regional meet:
Jenny Dyer - 3rd place in the 1500 meter run and 3rd place in the 3000 meter run.
Dylan Dyer - 2nd in the 800 meter run and 4th in the 400 meter dash.

Roving Reptiles Visit Collinsville Library
Saturday Aug. 1 2009 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm
Celebrate the end of the summer reading programs with Roving Reptiles of Tulsa. See a hands-on exhibit of reptiles and amphibians. Roving Reptiles' goal is to dispel the myths and misinformation that fuels fear of these beautiful yet much maligned creatures.
This event is for all ages.
