Main Street honors “Board Member of the Year”
Brad Francis was honored as Collinsville Downtown, Inc, “Main Street’s Board Member of the Year at the 20th Annual Oklahoma Main Street Awards Banquet in Oklahoma City on May 19, 2009

Brad has been an active Board Member for Collinsville Downtown, Inc, a Main Street Program, for the past seven years, of which he has served as Board President for two terms.

Currently, Brad is the Chairman of Collinsville Main Street’s Design Committee and the Hogs N Hot Rods Event Committee. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13th showcasing thousands of classic cars and motorcycles. A “Guitar Hero Competition”, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and Arm Wrestling Competition, offered to all age groups in The Silver Dollar Café has been added to the line up of activities this year. Since 2001, Hogs N Hot Rods continues to bring over 10,000 visitors to Collinsville each summer.

Mr. Francis continues to strengthen the role of the Main Street Program within the city of Collinsville, through his involvement as a Steering Committee Member of: The Collinsville 2030 Comprehensive Plan; The City’s Planning Commission; Tulsa County’s 2025 Vision Tax Overview; and the City Park Committee.

Brad meets with Main Street merchants and has been involved in nearly a dozen façade grants, which have greatly impacted Collinsville’s business Corridor.
Most recently, Brad has facilitated the restoration of Collinsville Downtown Inc, new office located just east of City Hall on Main Street. Working 60 hours a week for nearly a year, the 12,500 sq. ft. building, built in 1912 looks beautiful. A Grand Opening will be schedule this summer, although the public is always welcome to “stop by”!

You can see Brad, most days, dressed in painter’s clothes and a baseball cap…and you can always find him on…well Main Street of course… working hours on end, improving one building a time and greeting and educating visitors who happen along the way.

We are privileged to work with such a dedicated man, who typifies “Main Street way”.
