Twenty area quilters
met at the Library, November 13, and enjoyed a program on "raggedy
quilts" given by Janet Martin. She demonstrated the process of creating
blocks that would ravel and fluff along the edges, and shared hints on
what not to do. A large stash of Christmas fabrics cut in fat quarters
was won by Mary Wood, who also received a beaded chatelaine as a door
prize. A quilting book was won by Frances Ashinhurst. The next meeting
will be Dec. 11, with red, green and/or white being the theme for the
fat quarters drawing. (Janet Martin is shown above with her "raggedy quilt") submitted by Linda Pfeffer --11/16/2007 (Previous Coverage) |
