5th Grade Football Tournament
We will be scrimmaging the Union Redskins at the high school football field Thursday night at 6 p. m. 11-15-07 to get us ready for our trip and tournament to St. Louis, Missouri for my 5th grade Collinsville football team. We leave November 30 and our first game is Dec 1 and will play the 2nd as well. There will be teams from St. Louis Missouri, Ohio,Wisconsin, Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Illinois. We are the only team from Oklahoma invited to play in this tournament.We won the Oklahoma Sooner Classic last year and want to go play some out of state teams to represent our town and state.

70 Middle School students were honored for 9 weeks perfect attendance Nov. 8th, 2007.
Open For Business -- Be sure to support the East Main businesses which are along the construction zone between 5th & Main and Highway 169. Phone Book Recycle
According to an 11-12-2207 Tulsa World article there would be a phone book recycling center available at 13063 E. 146th St. N. until Dec.21st. (I'm not sure exactly where that would be if someone can confirm the location of a bin for me? -- Ted)
Active Military & Veterans Invited
To Collinsville Christmas Parade
Collinsville's Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 and the theme is "Come Home For The Holidays". A color guard from the Army Recruiting Office in Claremore will be leading our Veterans in the parade. Transportation for the Veterans who cannot walk the route will be provided. They will line up behind the Library on December 8th about 10:45 and be first in line for the parade. Our Veterans will be the Grand Marshalls for the 2007 Parade.

Dynamic gas pricing ... $3.09 Wednesday (Nov. 14th) but back to $2.97 today. Prices had climbed considerably in the past few weeks after being below $3/gal for months.

Elks Organizing
Meeting Scheduled for New Elks Lodge in Collinsville
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) is considering developing a new Elks Lodge in Collinsville. The BPOE is a fraternal order dedicated to serving our communities through charity and patriotism. The Elks provide scholarships and drug awareness education for our youth as well as needed items and recognition for our veterans. A preliminary meeting will be held at the Collinsville City Library on Thursday November 15th at 7 PM in the meeting room. All interested persons should consider attending this meeting to learn more about the Elks and about this exciting possibility. -- submitted 11-14-2007
