The U16 Boys Collinsville
Cardinals just finished their rec season undefeated! They had a 7-0-2
record, with 35 goals scored and only 5 allowed, with every player on
the team (including our girl) scoring at least one goal. They played some
tough teams like Tulsa United Sandien, Central Tulsa Shooting Stars, Miami
Tigers and 2 Union teams, just to name a few. They are preparing to go
to the Broken Arrow Fall Tournament on Nov 16, 17 & 18, where they
again will find themselves against some very tough teams. They have worked
very hard this season, and the Collinsville Soccer Club is very proud
of them. Most of the players on the team also play (or will play) for
the Collinsville High School in the Spring. Please come out and support
them. They deserve it! Front row: Andrew Thompson, Michael Yingst, Peter Kolosha, Seth Marsh, Marcus Lee and Michael Cox. Back row: Asst. Coach - David Hanewinkel, Ethan Carothers, Josh Buchfink, Ryan Grider, Megan Hawkins, Blake Hanewinkel, Phillip McMullen, Brandon Creekmore, and Coach - Jerry McColley Not shown: Alex Shambrook Thank you, Cheryl McColley (Collinsville Soccer Club 918-638-5489) |

The Ch. 8 morning
show will be featuring CHS and five students on its program starting next
Mon. the Nov. 11th at 5:20 am and 6:20 am. Each day next week a different
student will be showcased. I think the order is as follows: Lane Coulter-Mon. Rachel Pitts-Tue. Kevin Phillips-Wed. Amy Garrett-Thurs. Tyler Lowe-Fri. I am not 100% sure of the order. It is always neat to be able to have our students represent CHS in a positive manner. Thanks, Cory Slagle (CHS Principal) 11-7-2007 |
Tom Tacker (left) visited the Depot Museum today (Nov. 8th) with Bill Thomas pointing out local historical items. Tacker is a free lance journalist and editor (based in Australia). He was traveling to nearby locations today with Tanya Andrews from the Claremore Convention and Visitors Bureau. |
Tom Thacker also visited the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville. He is shown standing by a 1915 vintage hand-set type case. |
