Equipment For Baseball Training
Coach Reeder has asked the Home Run Club to look for donations of used, but good quality, cardiovascular type equipment (i.e., treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, etc.). He also is needing Olympic type weights. Olympic weights use a large diameter bar and thus have a larger hole than most home sets.

If you have, or know someone who has, any of these items please have them call. Also, if you have contacts who own, manage, repair, etc. this type of equipment please contact them and ask if they would be willing to donate to the baseball program. We can provide them with a receipt for tax purposes.

Thank you. Allen Lee (6/25/2008)

The new sidewalk in front of Trainity Faith Church (and the other businesses on the south side of Main between 11th & 12th) was poured this week. Streetscape work continues in all 4 block sections but 3 of the 4 now have the majority of the sidewalk and curbs in place. Utility work continues on the south side of Main between 10th & 11th where most of the old sidewalk is still in place. (Previous Coverage)
The Pentecostal Church made major progress this week on completing their paved parking lot at 12th and Broadway.
The last major portion of the 4-lane roadway (where the temporary cutoff to Broadway had been) is now paved but East Main and the new bridge remains a 2-lane construction zone (Previous Coverage)
Footing to the Movie Gallary store at 11th & Main got easier this week with portions of the new sidewalk and curbing now in place.
A portion of 12th Street just south of Broadway was being asphalted Thursday.
With the sidewalk and curb just 2 days old (see top photo) the pavers were already in place for some portions Thursday afternoon. There are two gaps in the sidewalk pending the possible relocation of two lightpole bases on the south side of Main between 11th & 12th.
