Oklahoma Titans -- 1st Place 8U USSSA State Qualifying Tournament
Hi Ted,
Here's a picture of the Oklahoma Titans after winning 1st place in the 8U USSSA State Qualifying Tournament at Collinsville. Most of the boys are from Collinsville. The boys beat the Collinsville Cardinals with a score of 16-1 and then they played the Collinsville Bat Attitude winning with a score of 15-0!!! I also want to give recognition to the coaches, without their positive attitudes and reinforcement with the boys they could not have won this tournament. These coaches take time out of their busy lives to help teach our boys the fundamentals of the game and teach them the most important thing---FUN!!!!!

Also wanted to add that Tom Blankenship's birthday was Sunday too and what a way to celebrate!! Happy Birthday Tom!!!

1st Row (L-R): Kessler Roadman, Jordan Wilkins, Colby Davis, Adam Carney, Tom Blankenship, Cole Hadley, Austin Johnson

2nd Row (L-R): Tres Sexton, Tony Connor, Carson Stout, Kyle Burch, Coby (Biggun) Porter, Caden Weathers

3rd Row (L-R): Coaches - Tommy Sexton, Steve Stout, Brad Wilkins, Keith Carney, Roy Weathers

Thank you, Beth Davis (4/18/2008)

Ted, we are hosting the USSSA STATE QUALIFIER baseball tournament starting tonight and running till Sunday evening, This is the very first one that Collinsville has ever hosted, this is a very big step for our youth baseball program in bringing teams in from out of town and letting them see how great of a complex we have built in the past years. Everyone is welcome to come out and watch some of the states best 8 and 10 and under kid pitch teams go at it, Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students, this is being held at the sportsplex behind Herald Elementary School.. Thanks Ron Koscheski (5-16-2008)
Masonic "Student of Today" Awards
These are the Kindergarten winners of the 2008 Collinsville Masonic Lodge "Student of Today" awards. They were presented to Paige Sanders in Mrs. Sallee's class and Zeke Phillips in Mrs. Harris' class.

The Masons also presented awards at the high school May 19th to seniors Saxon Lewis and Rachel Smith. And I suspect they visited the other campuses. -- Ted

How About Riding A Bus To
Downtown Tulsa or Owasso or Cherokee Industrial Park???
... to/from Collinsville

Ted,
Eric Wiles, Owasso Planner and I rode with Bill Cartwright General Manager/CEO of Tulsa Transit on Wednesday (May 14th) to see if a Collinsville-Owasso-Cherokee Industrial Park-Tulsa Downtown route would be workable. We think it is. I am asking Ms. Polk to consider placing something in our FY 09 budget to make a “pilot” express run possible.

Ted Note: INCOG is also investigating the potential for rail commutes to/from Tulsa suburbs. Also Note: Collinsville was formally served by both bus and rail passenger services into the 1970s (or 80's?).
