Cardinals In Action is a volunteer group of approximately 100 Collinsville High School students who's goal is community service and learning leadership skills. They put their skills to work Wednesday to help spruce up the Victory Indian Cemetery.
Collinsville's Victory Indian Cemetery should look nice for a scheduled October 6th event with dignitaries from all over the nation checking out what Collinsville and the Cherokee Nation have done with the cemetery restoration project (per Nancy Phelps).
CHS Principal Cory Slagle indicated the Cardinals in Action are a followup to the former "Hogs" group but now include females and grades 9-12. The group also helped the Chamber of Commerce with the burgers at Founder's Day.
