A new carpet business (sharing the lot with Home Town Real Estate at 13th & Broadway) has taken shape this summer.
Just a Sample of Active & Recent Collinsville Construction
The Christian Church at 19th & Union now has doors and windows added to the frame.
The city dug down to check the original 1913 footing for the City Hall building so plans for connecting the new steel framework (inside the existing brick walls) could be finalized. The contractor for the new Fire/EMS building plans to clear just enough of the old slab for the outline of the new building (above). The rest of the slab will provide a mud free working surface thru the winter and be removed before construction completes in the spring.
The building housing the Bank of the Lakes and the Education Services Center at 11th and Broadway underwent a major rennovation this summer.

The southeast corner of 10th & Main also has a new treeless look and sidewalk.
Collinsville school changes have been numerous this summer and covered on other cvilleok.com pages. The photo above show a new cover for Wilson's entrance. Below is gravel for the temporary parking south of the middle school.
Several new homes have been built in old existing residential areas in town this summer as well as in new additions.
The new islands and poles for signal lights are starting to show the shape of things to come at 5th and Main.
The city partnered last week with the county for a new asphault layer on 19th Street from the S-Curve all the way to 136th St. North
The Chamber of Commerce continues their rennovations of the old corner bank building at 11th & Main.
The East entrance into Collinsville from Hwy 169 has changed this summer.
Eastside Veteriniary Hospital rennovations continue. Mazzios revamped their building's apprearance earlier this summer. Kent's Custom Car's new location is nearing completion as the first business west of Hwy 169 at 146th St. North.
