The old 3 bay fire building was moved from the lot west of City Hall out to Ridgelawn Cemetery Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 8th). The move followed Main west around the S-Curve and blocked Highway 20 longer than anticipated as the hugh building met several obstacles along the way to the the cemetery. Even one headstone had to be temporarily moved to allow the building to turn a corner inside the cemetery to reach it's new location at the south end of Ridgelawn. This move will make room for the new Fire/EMS building in town and create storage for backhoes and other equipment as well as offices at Ridgelawn. (Related Story).
