Crimson Cadets,
We hope you’ve had a fantastic summer so far. It’s amazing how quickly it goes by. Summer Band is right around the corner. Hopefully you have been practicing a little bit. The main things you should be focusing on are tone, and Movement One of the show. Memorization is essential to our success…the faster you get Movement One memorized, the easier it will be for you. Below is the summer band schedule. Attendance is mandatory. Monday-Tuesday,
July 25-26 8AM-11AM New marchers* Football Field Monday-Thursday,
August 1-4 8AM-11AM All band members Football Field *A new marcher is anyone who has never marched with the Collinsville Crimson Cadets before. Here are a few tips about what to wear: light-colored clothing, shoes (absolutely no flip-flops or boots), shorts, sunglasses, hats, t-shirt. Bring a water bottle, and some sunscreen, it’s going to be warm. It would help to bring your instrument too, and music. There are a couple of changes in staff due to the Lewis’s moving. The new assistant director is Mr. Still from Arkansas, a graduate of Owasso. He is a trumpet player. There are two new guard instructors, Mr. & Mrs. Day. Most of the work will be done by Mrs. Day, with Mr. Day assisting as needed. We welcome these wonderful musicians into our family of Cadets!!! The guard has been working hard all summer long, the music is almost finished, half of the drill is finished, and we’re excited about getting together again!!! | Anyone Can Help The Band ... |
| The Collinsville
Crimson Cadet High School Marching Band Boosters are
accepting donations for a garage sale. The Garage Sale is
the first fundraising promotion that the CCC Band Boosters will undertake
for the 2011-2012 school year. Please clean out your closets and cabinets and donate your unwanted items to us. We need donations of clothes, furniture, appliances (working please), books, household items and anything else you are willing to give. Anyone interested in donating items can drop them off on Thursday, August 4 and Friday, August 5 from 6pm to 8pm at the Miracles of Faith Church on 19th and Maple, North of the football field. All proceeds/contributions from the sale will go directly to help offset costs for marching contests meals, drinks for the kids at football games, instruments and any other expenses that may arise with the band.
