Dylan Cook (#18) took a short Zane McElroy pass and eluded the first McAlester defender (near the 25) and dashed down the sideline in front of the Cardinal bench to score a 77 yard TD at 5:58 in the 4th quarter. The entire drive covered 92 yards and set the final score at 14-38.
The Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band marched the entire "Echoes Reflected" program (including the mirror props) during halftime Friday. The Cadets will be at their state level competition (OBA) at Edmond Saturday.
Joe Crabb (#45) made the stop on this McAlester play early in the 3rd quarter.
I had a chance at this pass (above, out of bounds right at the camera) after it went past Shane Goossen (#21) incomplete late in the 3rd quarter. -- Ted
Keenan Priddy (#40) carried out to the 15 with a Zane McElroy handoff and blocking ahead early in the 4th quarter.
Derek Iannapollo (#10) intercepted this McAlester pass near the 8 yard line stopping a Buffalo threat (at 8:05 4Q) and setting up the Cardinals for their only 2nd half score.
Zane McElroy (#4) was in at quarterback (splitting time with Derek Iannapollo) when the Cards statred their only 2nd half scoring drive (from ther own 8). (The final 77 yards of that drive are shown at the top of this page).
Daniel Billups (#54) and Keenan Hamilton (#20) wrapped up this McAlester ball carrier.
Dylan Cook (#18) prevented a late McAlester completion at the goal line bringing up a 4th down and an incompletion on the next play turned the ball over to the Cards.
The band's props before the shiny mirror frames were added for halftime.
Some potential TV time for these Cardinal fans.
