Within the Pink Out / Cancer Awareness activities for all survivors and casualties of cancer were special moments for Mackenzie Sunday. Had she not passed away with cancer in 2008 she would have been a senior this year. Balloons were released in her memory as well as butterflys (above which were rather inactive in the chilly weather) and the cover of the football program had her photo.
Skiatook had a quick 0-3 lead on this field goal that just cleared the crossbar by a few inches at 6:28 in the first quarter. Skiatook followed with a 5 yard TD run at 6:15 in the 2nd quarter for a 0-10 score.
T.J. Johnson (#6) went high to catch this Derek Iannapollo pass at the 16 yard line in the 2nd quarter (before the TD at left).
Derek Iannapollo (#10) scored Collinsville's first touchdown at 3:15 in the 2nd quarter on this 16 yard keeper (above and left). The PAT kick failed and left the score 6-10.
A pile of Cardinals including Patrick Harness (#71) and Hunter West (#33) stopped this Skiatook runner late in the 1st half).
Alissa Wilson and Haley Rinck kept up a constant chatter to show support for the home team.
The Crimson Cadets will be at OSSAA in Broken Arrow Wed. Oct. 26th.
The youth cheerleaders performed in pink before the game.
