Wilson Elementary Celebrated 100th Day
With CHS Precussion Section

Wilson Elementary celebrated attending the 100th day of school on Tuesday, January 24th. Each class learned about many things related to the number 100, including looking back 100 years ago to learn how school was the same and different compared to students' school experience today, bringing and counting 100 items each, and discovering how the number 100 affects us in many areas of our lives. To help us celebrate, the percussion section of the Collinsville High School Band, lead by Bruce Roberts, visited Wilson. They shared some music with us and helped us count to 100 by 5s and 10s using the drumbeats as guides. Pictured below:

CCC Winterguard At Adair
Here are three pictures from the first Winterguard competition, held on Saturday January 28th in Adair, OK.

The Winterguard placed 4th in their class at Adair. We are very proud of the work these girls have done so far this year! Their next contest will be in Fort Gibson on February 11th.

Collinsville Jazz Distraction
Congratulations to the CJD for their success at the Verdigris Jazz Band Festival! The Collinsville Jazz Band has not performed in a jazz festival for well over 15 years and the staff is very proud of the student’s hard work. The next few weeks will be very interesting for the CJD. Regular CJD rehearsals will meet on Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm. If you have any questions please contact the band office!
