A Tahlequah punt had "pinned" Collinsville back at their own 9 yard line ... but that just gave Brayden Burd (#22) more room to run as he reeled off a 91 yard touchdown run on the next play. He reached the endzone with 4:20 left in the first half. The point after play was muffed and the score remained 20-0.
The Collinsville band was stuck in the stands during pre-game Tahlequah ceremonies and denied a half-time opportunity so had to march post-game (see photos at bottom of page).

Just a few year back I commented it was a good opportunity for the football players to watch the band during a rare post-game performance at Tahlequah. The novelty of that has worn off (for me anyway) and seems a shame that our excellent band marched before essentially empty stands that had held thousand(s?) during pre-game and maybe already thinning at half-time (with Collinsville up 20-0). It also delays the start for the long drive back to Collinsville with the band heading to the BA contest the next day. -- Ted Wright
