Cardinals Met Challenges For 34-27 Win In Light Rain
Cole Dugger (#12) got this 1st quarter pass to Walker Roberts (#23) but the catch was ruled out of bounds (below) and Dugger took a hit after releasing the ball. This brought up 4th down and Collinsville punted for the first time this season. Bartlesville then scored on their first possession (13 yard TD pass at 7:27 1Q).
Brayden Burd (#22) needed just 4 rushes to move Collinsville from their own 20 to Bartlesville's 11 yard line on Collinsville's 2nd possession. Bartlesville recoved a fumble after Jake Tuttle reached the 4 yard line.
The Collinsville defense made an initial stop on Bartlesville but the Bruins ended up covering 96 yards (including a 74 yard rush for the score) and went up 0-14 over the Cardinals after just two possessions and 3:26 left in the first quarter.
Peyton Russell (#36) partially blocked this Bartlesville punt (near the 20) setting the Cardinals up at Bartlesville's 34 yard line with 6:15 left in the firat half (and still 2 touchdown down).
Following Russell's punt block Dugger kept to the 26 and then Brayden Burd (#22) used his blocks and speed to rush 26 yards for Collinsville's first score at 6:01 in the 2nd quarter. Ashton Jones kicked the exra point and the score was 7-14.
Cardinal pass rush
Walker Roberts (#23) nearly caught this long Cole Dugger pass late in the 2nd quarter despite being run into by the Bartlesville defender before the ball arrived. There was no flag thrown on the play and Collinsville had to punt.
On Collinsville's final possession of the first half Malcom Tillman moved Collinsville down to Bartlesville's 16, followed by Brayden Burd (#22 above) who carried the final 16 yards for the Cards 2nd TD with 1:09 left. Jones' PAt tied the score at 14-all.
Bartlesville scored on the first possession in the 2nd half (75 yard run) going up 14-20 with Burd getting a sack on the PAT attempt. Bartlesville then kicked off to Burd (above) who returned out to the Cardinal 34 yard line.
Collinsville took their first lead of the game at 6:44 in the 3rd quarter following the 10 yard TD run by Malcolm Tillman (#24) above and Ashton Jones' extra point kick (21-20).
Collinsville expanded their with a one yard Brayden Burd TD run from this set at 2:33 in the 3rd quarter.
This Ashton Jones (#20) point after touchdown kick attempt barely cleared the line of scrimmage with the ball not quite on the tee before his foot arrived. This left the score at 27-20.
Walker Roberts (#23) broke up this long Bartlesville pass after Bartlesville started in Collinsville following the return of one of the few Seth Weiser kickoffs to not reach the endzone.

Bartlesville had driven into Cardinal territory and was threatening the 7 point Collinsville lead in the 4th quarter when this pass was tipped near the line (by either Gage Tacher #84 or Hayden Knight #52 ?) setting up the interception below.
Trent Brown (#43) picked off this tipped Bartlesville pass with 5:25 left in the game. A Bartlesville unsportsmanship penalty on the play set Collinsville up at Bartlesville's 49 yard line.

One the first play after the Brown interception, Jake Tuttle (#21) took off on a 49 yard TD run to pad Collinsville's lead to 34-20 after the PAT and 5:14 remaining in the game.
Bartlesville drove for a final touchdown at 2:51 to narrow the score to 34-27 but Collinsville was able to run out the clock mostly with Jake Tuttle runs (including this one with a stiff arm).
