A special "spirit" bus got many of Collinsville's super fans to Tahlequah but the nice sized Collinsville crowd was still dwarfed by the huge stadium on the NSU campus.
Tahlequah had homecoming activities during pre-game and used the majority of half time so the Collinsville CrimsonCadets entertained from the stands and then marched their program in an unsual post-game performance. They will compete at the Bixby Invitational Marching Contest Saturday Oct. 3rd.
The first time Collinsville got their hands on the ball (following a Tahlequah punt to the 13) they set the tone early with a Seth Boomer pass to Sam West (#13) out to the 46 yard line.
Brett Erickson (#11) was wide open on this Seth Boomer pass play that moved the Cardinals into Tahlequah territory at the 38 yard line.
Quarterback Seth Boomer (#12) passed to Brett Erickson to get Collinsville to the 15 yard line on the Card's first possession.
Sheaffer Smith (#25) completed the Cards first drive with this 5 yard run (following a Seth Boomer 10 yard keeper) at 7:32 in the 1st quarter. Cole Hadley kicked the extra point for a quick 7-0 lead.

Austin Roberts (#23) ended Tahlequah's 3rd possession by intercepting this tipped pass and returning to it to the 6 yard line with 3:46 left in the first quarter.
Seth Boomer (#12) barely got this pass off and it looked like Sheaffer Smith (#25) might be his intended receiver in this photo ... but it was caught in the endzone by Levi Draper (below).
Boomer's pass sailed over Smith's head and into the hands of Levi Draper (#10) for a 15 yard TD play at the 3 minute mark of the first quarter. Hadley's kick made the score 14-0.
Sam West (#13) carried this Tahlequah defender into the endzone with a 33 yard Seth Boomer pass with 10:44 left in the 2nd quarter. Cole Hadley's kick increased the Cardinal lead to 21-0.

the pass to Sheaffer Smith (below).
|
||||||||||
Sheaffer Smith (#25) went high to pull down this Seth Boomer pass but was short of first down yardage ... setting up the punt (below).
Tyler Fanning (#3) and Roc Robbins (#44) both recovered this Collinsville punt that was touched by a Tahlequah player at the 36 yard line with 5:46 left in the 2nd quarter.

Brett
Erickson (#11) intercepted Tahlequah to end their initial possession
in the 2nd half at the 31 yard line.
|
||||||||||
Polo Patterson (#27) accounted for most of the yards in the Cardinals scoring drive after Erickson's interception. Patterson covered 7 yards into the endzone (above) at 7:05 in the 3rd quarter. Hadley's kick was good for a 38-0 score.
