CHS Football At Claremore
Cardinals Third Shutout In Four Games
31-0 District Win Over Claremore

Cole Dugger (#12) scrambled to his left then fired a pass to Payton Russell (#36) in the first drive of the wet evening at Claremore.
Jake Tuttle finished the Cardinal's opening drive with this touchdown run from 14 yards out with 6 minutes left in the first quarter.
Extra points were not a strong point for Collinsville Friday with five attempts before a success.
Malcom Tillman (#24) picked up good yardage on a screen pass from Cole Dugger in the first quarter.
Eli Benham (#10) hung on for the stop despite the stiff arm attempt. Benham also fielded punts for the Cardinals with Walker Roberts in street clothes.

Cole Dugger (#12) knew right away that Brayden Burd (#22) not only had the first down on this 4th and 6 play, but also the touchdown from the 24 yard line at 8:29 in the second quarter for a 12-0 score.

Brayden Burd (#22) scored his second toutchdown from 46 yards out with 4:43 left in the 2nd quarter. That brought the score to 18-0 which stood at half time also.

Jake Tuttle (#21) scored from 4 yards out with 5:04 left in the 3rd quarter to put Collinsville up 24-0.

Malcom Tillman (#24) scored the final Collinsville touchdown from 13 yards out at the 9:34 point of the fourth quarter.
The Collinsville defense blanked their opponent for the third time in four games so far this season.
In the final minutes Baylor Weathers (#16) was the QB handing off to Seth Weiser (#6) with Gabe Lyon (#40) and other substitutes blocking to move the ball down the field to effectively run out the majority of the clock.

Caleb Mitchell (#28) caught this Baylor Weathers pass and reached the 7 yard line late in the game.

Nate Wilkins (#32) stopped Claremore at the 12 yard line in the final seconds.
The Trap student section did their usual job with enthusiam in the stands. The Friday night rain was fortunately not as bad as anticipated in Claremore (a light drizzle nearly the full game). Several other Oklahoma teams moved their games to Thursday based on the 100% chance of rain forcast which resulted in flooding in some portions of the state Friday.
Coach Jones encouraged his "tough" Cardinals to keep the monentum rolling.
