There was a somber start to the game as East Central (with support from Collinsville) celebrated the life of Marquise Mullins (one of their football players) who was shot and killed Tuesday before this Friday game.
Walker Roberts (#23) was only called on to punt one time for Collinsville (doing that chore after Collinsville failed to pick up a first down on their very first possession). East Central needed to punt many times but could barely execute the long snap and their punt game gave Collinsville excellent field position several times during the game. Collinsville did pick up first (or touch) downs a few times on 4th downs. East Central did manage to pin Collinsville at the one yard line with a 3rd quarter punt.
Hayden West (#33) returned an East Central punt to the EC 21 yard line to begin Collinsville's 2nd possession of the game.
Logan Sieminskie (#20) scored from 16 yards out on 4th and 5 on Collinsville's 2nd possession (started by West's punt return). The extra point attempt was muffed leaving the score 6-0 at 7:49 in the first quarter.
Collinsville's swarming defense held East Central out of the end zone all evening ... including this stop on a Collinsville kickoff.
A Levi Draper (#10) big hit (see KTUL video) contributed to another failed East Central punt attempt in the 2nd quarter.
Seth Boomer (#12) with a 2nd quarter sideline pass.
Logan Sieminskie (#20) took a handoff from Seth Boomer (#12) and received a block on the right end by Grayson Boomer (#18) ... all under the watchful eyes of the Collinsville coaches.
Logan Sieminskie (#20) with a 2 yard touchdown run at 8:17 in the 2nd quarter (13-0 after the Seth Weiser extra point kick).
Logan Sieminskie (#20) scored his 3rd rushing TD (3 yards) with 3:14 left before halftime.
Seth Weiser (#6) with Tate Robards (#8) holding made 5 of 7 extra point kicks. Weiser also handled the numerous kickoffs.
East Central fumbled a kickoff to Collinsville at the 25 yard line setting up the Malcom Tillman (#24) 7 yard touchdown run (above) with 1:12 left in the 2nd quarter. Seth Weiser's kick set the halftime score at 27-0.
The Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band marched at halftime.
Levi Draper (#10) nearly blocked this East Central punt.
Talon Coulter (#7) with a 3rd quarter catch and run.
Hayden West (#33) took a Seth Boomer pass and covered 31 yards to the endzone at 7:37 in the 3rd quarter. Seth Weiser's kick made the score 34-0.
More swarming Collinsville defense.
Seth Boomer (#12) connected with his brother Grayson Boomer (18) on this long pass late in the 3rd quarter. The play covered from Collinsville's 33 to East Central's 21. The drive had started at Collinsville's one yard line. The next play was a Boomer pass to Walker Roberts reaching the 6 yard line setting up the score below.
Logan Sieminskie (#20) scored his 4th rushing touchdown (from the 6) with 1:10 left in the 3rd quarter. Weiser's kick set the score at 41-0.
Many Collinsville players got 4th quarter playing experience with the game well in hand.
Dalton Burton (#98) put pressure on the East Central quarterback contributing to the interception below.
Marcus Reeder (#88) picked off an East Central pass near mid-field in the 4th quarter and reached the 20 yard line at 9:30 in the 4th quarter.
Nate Sinni (#16) handed off to Carter Lowe (#25) for the final Collinsville touchdown (from 3 yards out) with 5:59 left in the game. The extra point was good to reach the 47-0 final.

A Collinsville punt may seem an odd choice for my initial "highlight" photo from the East Central game Friday ... but the punting game dominated the storyline as Collinsville only punted once (that I recall) with Walker Roberts doing that chore after Collinsville failed to pick up a first down on their very first possession. East Central needed to punt many times but could barely execute the long snap and their punt game gave Collinsville excellent field position several times during the game. Collinsville did pick up first (or touch) downs a few times on 4th downs. Collinsville won 47-0. -- More later - Ted -- 11:30pm Friday
