| The 4 basketball
games played at the Collinsville High School gym Tuesday had just the
right mix of serious basketball hustle and humor to keep the crowd cheering
and laughing for the former and current Cardinals. The first game was
an inter-squad matchup of the younger girls teams. The Varsity Lady Cards
then met the challenge (51-18) as the "alumni" ladies (even
with a few coaches) had plenty of talent but a short bench. The JV boys
then "warmed up" the large group of alumni guys (30-25). The
alumni then jumped out to a quick lead over the 2014-15 Varsity boys (several
fresh from the playoff football field rather than the basketball practice
gym) but faded as the varsity pulled away with a 53-36 win. |
