CHS Football -vs- Tahlequah
Cardinals Lose In Overtime 28-35
First District Loss
KJRH will be airing Friday Night Live Football Coverage at the Tahlequah vs Collinsville game this Friday, October 11th. Cayden McFarland, Karen Larsen, Jacob Tobey and Mike Collier are scheduled to be on site for the 5 and 6 o'clock newscast.
This Kolten Allphin (#1) pass to Payton Russell (#36) moved the Cards out from their own 6 yard line to the 25 before a bad snap sent them back them back to the 5 on the first Collinsville possession. The possession started after a Tahlequah punt was downed at the 2.
Jeran Seabolt (#11) forced a fumble on this Tahlequah run early in the second quarter stopping a potential Tiger score. Tahlequah did score on their next possession for a touchdown lead 6:24 before half-time. Collinsville did have a scoring opportunity reaching Tahlequah's 12 yard line in the final minute of the second quarter but a penalty pushed them back and they failed on 4th down with 10 seconds left.
Caden Buoy (#4) took the kickoff opening the second half and took it all the way to tie the score at 7-7 at 11:49 in the 3rd quarter.
Jeran Seabolt (#11) scored on a 36 yard TD run at 4:12 in the 3rd quarter to match a Tahlequah TD following Bouy's kickoff return. Ashton Jones kicked the extra point to even the score at 14-14.
With the score tied at 14 and Tahlequah driving at the Card's 34, Nate Wilkins (#32) picked off a Tahlequah pass and returned it to the Tiger's 35 with 1:25 left in the 3rd quarter, setting up a go-ahead Collinsville score (below).
Kolten Allphin (#1) dove into the endzone on a 10 yard run with 13 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. Jones' kick made the score 21-14.
Kolten Allphin (#1) put Collinsville up 28-21 at 6:31 in the 4th quarter on this 9 yard run. Tahlequah had tied at 21 on the first play of the 4th quarter. Tahlequah trailed until scoring with just 24 seconds left in regulation, the scored a TD in their first overtime opportunity, while Collinsville failed on 4th down in their overtime turn.
