The Tulsa LifeFlight 3 helicopter landed in the center of Sallee Field before the Bishop Kelley game to deliver a ceremonial game ball Friday night.
Carson the Cardinal accepted the game ball from one of the LifeFlight crew members.
Jackson Wilson (#61) was finally back on the field after a lengthy injury rehab.
An early first quarter pass by Seth Boomer (#12) before a "Pink Out" (for cancer awareness) home crowd.
Brett Erickson (#11) intercepted a Bishop Kelley pass on their first possession and returned it to the BK 12 yard line with 7 minutes left in the first quarter.
Collinsville had to settle for a Seth Weiser (#6) field goal after Erickson's interception. The Cards had reached the six yard line on a Malcom Tillman run but an illegal substitution on the next play moved them back to the 12 killing momentum. Collinsville led 3-0 with 5:26 left in the first quarter.
The Cardinal lead did not last long with BK scoring on their next possession on a short run at 3:59 in the 1st quarter. Kelley scored 2 plays into the 2nd quarter (another less than a yard) TD run at 11:34 making the score 3-14. Bishop Kelley's 3rd score came with 8:14 left in the 2nd quarter on 4th and 2 from the 3. The last two touchdowns came after interceptions (one was tipped). The half time score was 3-20 with one BK extra point attempt wide.
Collinsville cheerleaders (not to be confused with the helicopter) also landed at Sallee Field.
Bishop Kelley did not bring a band and the Collinsville youth cheerleaders performed instead.
The Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band members are still waiting on the arrival of their new uniforms ... but the color guard members debuted their new outfits (Friday at Sallee Field and Saturday at the Owasso marching competition).
Malcom Tillman (#24) with an early 3rd quarter rushing gain.
This Cardinal stop in the 3rd quarter ended with the Kelley runner lifted off the ground.
Carson Stout (#2) made the stop mid way in the 3rd quarter. The 2nd half opened with the teams trading punts until Collinsville fair caught a BK punt at mid-field setting up the only Cardinal touchdown of the night.
Brett Erickson (#11) is headed down the sideline waiting for a Seth Boomer pass to arrive which got Collinsville to the BK 16 yard line
Hayden West (#33) caught this Boomer TD pass from nine yard out with 3:27 left in the 3rd quarter. Seth's Weiser's extra point kick pulled Collinsville to 10-20.
Levi Draper (#10) and Dillon Russell (#3) stopped this Bishop Kelly play for a loss.
Carson Stout (#2) intercepted this Bishop Kelley pass with 28.7 seconds left in the 3rd quarter at the Cardinal's 8 yard line.
The Collinsville Varsity Cheer team was reconized at the end of the 3rd quarter for their 3rd straight 5A Academic State champs title. They were also recognized the following day at OSU during the state cheer competition.
The Boomer brothers Seth (#12) and Grayson (#18) connected on a few pass plays late in the 4th quarter, but any Cardinal rally chances were killed by a long clock winding BK drive that resulted in their only second half points ending with just 1:10 left in the game and the score 10-28.

CHS Football Cardinals lost 10-28 to Bishop Kelley -- 9/23/2016 -- Photos and detail later -- Coach Jones: Family was never more important than now. We've got to stick together. We've gotta get ticked off and get better. We got out played and out coached by one of the best teams in our district. We faced similar adversity last year and got better.
Tulsa LifeFlight 3 will be landing at center field of Sallee Field tonight at 6:40 to deliver the game ball. It's Good to be a Cardinal. -- Jim Riley 9/23/2016

We want everyone that can to come out and cheer on the CHS Football Cardinals in person tonight ... but for those that can't... Bishop Kelley will be broadcasting the game: http://www.bktv.live/ -- 9/23/2016 And those that attend the game should buy a $5 program at the QB Club trailer to help support the team. They have lots of other Cardinal items for sale also.

I went to OSU Saturday (State Cheer) so have not even started the Friday night football page ... nor several others. Check back Sunday. -- Ted 10:15pm 9/24/2016
