Chase
Wilkins (#7 left) stepped in front of this Grove receiver for an interception
at the Grove 47 with 6:19 left in the 1st quarter.
Opening
kickoff (right)
Zane
McElroy (#4) had a well protected pocket [for a short 1st quarter pass to Keenan
Hamilton] provided by David Roench (#63), Colby Cole (#61), and Matt Rodgers
(#64).
Collinsville
was down a touchdown to Grove when Zane McElroy (#4) broke free on a 61 yard
keeper to the end zone. The play was shortened back to the Grove 20 on a controversial
"illegal block" call at 6:43 in the 2nd quarter.
McElroy
(behind Gove's #20) finally got Collinsville on the scoreboard with this 10
yard QB keeper at 6:30 in the 2nd quarter. Athen Shambrook's PAT kick was wide
and the score 6-7. I can't tell for sure, but think that's Cole Keim (#67) with
the final block at the goal line. -- Ted
There
were at least 5 Cardinal defenders in on this 2nd quarter tackle when Collinsville
took control of what had been a close game. The Collinsville defense had also
held Grove on downs at the 15 yard line back in the 1st quarter.
Conner
Crutchfield (#11) scored the second Cardinal TD on this 11 yard run at 3:29
in the 2nd quarter.
T.
J. Johnson (#6) appears to have used his chin and chest to catch the 2-point
conversion pass to bring the score to 14-7 after Collinsville 2nd touchdown.
This
Carter Rasmussen (#85) catch & run covered from Grove's 43 down to the 8
setting up the score below. Collinsville had started the drive after taking
over on down at the Collinsville 36 with 1:09 left in the 1st half.
Zane
McElroy (#4) covered the final 8 yards for the 3rd Cardinal touchdown with 31.3
seconds left in the 1st half. Shambrook's kick was good for the 21-7 half time
score.
It's
always a tough call on medical privacy -vs- providing public information, but
sufice to say the medical staff was busy during half time with a cheerleader,
a band guard member, and players. -- Ted Wright

Keenan
Priddy (#21) scored on this 4 yard run at 4:39 in the 3rd quarter. Hayden Beeson's
PAT kick was good and the score reached 34-7.
Hunter
West (#33) gained almost 40 yard on this late 3rd quarter carry.
Keenan
Priddy (#21) drug a Grove defender into the endzone with him as he scored on
the first play in the 4th quarter on this 6 yard run.
Hayden
Beeson (#14) with an extra point kick attempt in the 4th quarter.
Shawn
Koscheski (#1) handing off to Marcus Redwine (#3) in the 4th quarter. Jake Douglass
(#56) was one of many blockers leading the play.
Shawn
Koscheski (#1) was racing down the far sideline on a 30 yard keeper to Grove's
5 yard line late inthe game. Jordan Caruthers (#22) was heading over to help.
Stephen
Wilson (#75) brought down this Grove ball carrier.
