INSULT TO INJURY? -- It was bad enough to have to settle for the runner-up trophy (after taking home the top 5A trophy for 5 years) -- but the OSSAA folks handed out the wrong set of trophies. I stayed behind at mat side after the Collinsville team left the building as Coweta continued their celebration (to post my initial cvilleok update with finals results). With Coweta paying more attention to their trophy someone finally noticed they had the 4A instead of 5A champions trophy. I assume Collinsville was already down the road with the wrong class trophy also. -- Ted
Congratulation to the Collinsville wrestlers and coaches ... we are all proud of their efforts ... and disappointed for them with the results. Coweta won several key close matches that swung momentum to their side and earned them the title. Collinsville still has a shot in two weeks to "salvage" the year with a title in the individual scoring format state tournament. -- Ted Wright -- Sunday Feb. 14th
