Cole Hadley (#9) kicked the extra point out of Lowe's hold for a 7-0 Cardinal lead.
Tyler Forrest (#1) broke up this long Edison pass attempt bringing up 4th down on Edison's 2nd possession.
Collinsville QB Seth Boomer (#12) wishes he had this pass back as Edison returned the favor of a pick six and intercepted and scored from about 40 yards out on Collinsville's first offensive play from scrimmage. Edison went for two with a QB keeper and took the lead at 7-8 with 6:52 in the first quarter.
Edison's effective running game kept Collinsville defenders on their heels all night.
Several Collinsville defenders were out sized by Edison's power back but continued to made stops after mostly positive gains.
Edison was already up 7-14 when they blocked this Austin Roberts (#23) punt and returned it for a touchdown and a 7-21 lead with 10:27 left in the 2nd quarter.
Blake Burd (#22) provided most of the Cardinal ground yardage but was held in check most of the evening with no long gainers.

Blake Burd (#22) with a good 2nd half gain.
The student section, cheerleaders and band drum line kept supporting the entire game.
The Edison receiver made a nice catch on this long pass play but it was called back on a motion penalty early in the 4th quarter.
Roc Robbins (#44) and Josh Arnold (#43) combined for this tackle.
Seth Boomer (#12) kept the ball (from Collinsville's 36) all the way down to Edison's 15 yard line and it reached the 7 after a penalty ... setting up the best offensive chance for the Cardinals in the second half. Collinsville got to the 4 yard line (below) before turning the ball over on down with 7:51 left in the game.
This pass attempt to Levi Draper (#10) in the endzone was incomplete but drew an interference call placing the ball at the 4 yard line in the 4th quarter.
Coach Kevin Jones stressed the team's season-long "Family" theme to pull together, as more important now than ever after this disappointing district loss.

Our attention was directed to the south end zone at one point during pre-game but the announcer must have dropped a page from his script as he talked about something else and the National Anthem was never played at LaFortune Stadium Friday night.
Former Collinsville Coach Bob Craig was on the Edison sidelines Friday night.
