Cardinal Football -- JHI Update -- 8-24-15

The Collinsville Cardinal junior high football teams (7,8,9) had a tough scrimmage this past Friday night at Sallee Field. After just one week of practice the Cardinals had a chance to go against someone besides ourselves. Bartlesville had some really good players on both sides of the ball and the Cardinals had to fight and scrap for every inch we gained. The defense played tough all night.
After the scrimmage the Quarterback Club fed our players and coaches a hot dog and a cold drink. We want to thank the parents for this treat. Also the QB club is providing each player a spirit pak. The t-shirt and shorts looks great. We will wear this to each game. Thanks QB club.
This was a good tune up for our season opener. The Cardinals will play Oologah next Tuesday, September 1st at Oologah. Games begin at 5pm.
On game day next week the 7th and 8th grade will report to the dressing room at 3:30. We will bus players to Oologah. After each game players may ride home with their parents only.
The 9th grade will report back to the dressing room at 5pm and bus to Oologah. Players should ride the bus home with the team and turn in game uniforms.
The Oologah Mustangs are expecting a great season after a summer of hard workouts. The word in the coaching world is that the Mustangs dominated Catoosa in their scrimmage Friday night.
Meet the Cardinals was another great success. We would like to thank the QB Club and Cheerleaders for this great event. It was also great to hear the Cardinal Band at Meet the Cardinals, you sound great.

Coach’m up
