This Shawn Koscheski (#1) 57 yard keeper in the first quarter ended at the 16 yard line. The drive stalled with a 2 yard loss on a 4th and goal from the 1 yard line with 6:55 left in the scoreless first quarter.
Collinsville did have 2 points on the scoreboard briefly in the first quarter after one official called intentional grounding on this Edison pass play from their own endzone. After the other officials conferred the call was changed to an incomplete pass and the safety was wiped off the board at 6:17 in the first quarter.
Brandon Lowe (#2) fielded Edison's punt at Collinsville's 40 yard line.
On the first play of the 2nd quarter Shawn Koscheski (#1) nearly intercepted this Edison pass.
Edison recovered their own fumble on this early 2nd quarter play near mid-field.
Ryan Haymaker (#25) had a nice gain to start Collinsville first scoring drive.

Cole Hadley's kick put the score at 7-0.
The Collinsville defense shutout the Edison offense.
Blake Burd (#22) had a nice gain wiped out by a holding penalty late in the 2nd quarter.
The CHS 5A State Academic Champ Cheer team entertained briefly at halftime.
The Crimson Cadet Band performed their entire "Rememberance" performance at half-time.
Austin Roberts (#23) sacked the Edison QB on 4th and 11 to give the Cardinals the ball at Edison's 48 yard line with 8:04 left in the 3rd quarter.
After Collinsville had fumbled giving Edison a short field, Chandler Cole (#6) intercepted this Edison pass at the 10 yard line with 4:44 left in the 3rd quarter and the score still 7-0.
Collinsville had moved out to their own 27 before another fumble gave Edison a start from the Card's 19 yard line with 2:29 left in the 3rd quarter. Edison had an apparent 5 yard TD run called back by holding.
Brett Erickson (#11) nearly ended Edison's scoring threat with an interception at the goal line but was unable to hang on. Edison then attempted a field goal which was wide left with 10.8 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
Brandon Lowe (#2) took over for an injured Shawn Koscheski to start the 2nd half. Lowe had a nice gain above moving into Edison territory early in the 4th quarter. Another Collinsville fumble killed this drive.
Tyler Forrest (#81) returned an Edison punt to the Collinsville 45 yard line with 8:39 left in the game.
Edison fumbled inside their own 25 yard line (above) ... which was scooped up by Austin Roberts (#23 below) and returned for a touchdown at 5:30 in the 4th quarter. Hadley's kick put Collinsville up 14-0.

Austin Roberts (#23) intercepted Edison and returned the pass to the 11 yard line with 4:34 left in the game.
Ryan Haymaker (#25) scored the final Cardinal TD on this 3 yard run following the Roberts interception. Cole Hadley kicked the extra point and the final 21-0 score was reached.

CHS Football Win Over Edison here ... 2nd hand reports from state softball were not promising but have not heard a final -- Ted 9:30pm ...more later on both -- Haymayer 1st half and 2nd half TD runs + Austin Roberts fumble scoop and score. Softball Season over. Austin Roberts had a fumble recovery and retun for a TD at 5:30 in the 4th quarter and then an interception with 4:49 left in the game to help Collinsville to another district win. Ryan Haymaker had rushing TDs at 5:19 in the 2nd quarter and 2:59 in the 4th quarter. -- more later -- Ted 9:50pm
