Roof Repairs Over CHS Art Room
On my way to the CHS Softball Festival Friday afternoon (8-19-2011), noticed that repairs were in progress for the portion of the roof over the CHS art room that was damaged August 10th. Highwinds that morning (a day before the start of classes August 11th) allowed several inches of water into the art room.
HHH Golf Tournament Sign Ups Due By August 25

S-Curve Roadway Work
Colvert and drainage work continues on the re-alignment and expansion to 4-lanes for the S-Curve / Highway 20 on the west side of Collinsville. The view above is near 21st and Broadway.
Small Grass Fire Behind Piggly Wiggly
I went there for groceries Tuesday but discovered the Collinsville Fire Department working from the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly having already controlled a small grass fire on the lot just behind the local grocery store. Not sure of the cause and no apparent damage other than some burnt weeds. -- Ted
