There are hundreds of tributes online now following the unexpected & sudden death of Terry Due Thursday. The following (by Terry's nephew) was one of the first and I have copied here as an example of the many lives touched by Terry. -- Ted Wright -- July 30, 2016
Terry Due was a great man, mentor, and just person, but more importantly to me, he was an awesome uncle. From taking me and Max and Jackson out on the boat, to making us some amazing steaks in the cabin, and even staying up really late watching old 80's movies at his house, I have made some of the greatest memories ever with my uncle and cousin. He taught me how to rock the visor look. He introduced me to more music and bands than anyone can even imagine. He even taught me how to tube on the lake, that is when ever Jackson finally fell off, which was never! But most importantly, my uncle taught me how to grow in life. Whether it was in a 400 meter sprint at a track meet, a 3rd and long during a close football game, or even just in everyday life, I always took pride in making my uncle proud of me. I still am trying to process all that has happened, but I know in the end, God had and will always have a plan. I miss you Uncle Terry...more than anything in this world. We all do. I love you more than I can put into words and I know I will see you again someday. Me and Jackson and Max will try and stay out of too much trouble up at Grand!
Love, your nephew,
