Collinsville Lost To Coweta 23-37 Then Beat Sperry 44-36
Coweta Defeated Sperry 46-27

The Collinsville high school wrestlers opened the 2016-17 season with a loss to Coweta (who had also beaten Collinsville in the finals at Dual State back in February 2016). Collinsville then followed with a win over Sperry in their annual tri event. Collinsville's only scheduled home matches are Jan. 10th (District Quad) and Jan. 12 (Owasso). This is the 7th season for the Cardinals under head coach Wes Harding who won every available state 5A title (except 2016 dual state, where they were runner-ups) in his first six years. Harding is assisted by Mike Henry & Jon Benham. Benham directs the JrHi wrestlers.
With the HS and JrHi matches running concurrently at Sperry, I decided to stay focused on the HS mat and just have random photos for the junior high wrestlers and don't have their names & faces figured out yet. Wish I had done more as I just studied the schedule and they have no home matches scheduled this season. -- Ted Wright
