10/28/2014 Update: I hestitated to comment on Carrington Buoy's photo above (in tears & pain) when I initially put this page online Sunday as I was didn't know the extent of her injury but knew that she showed remarkable determination to finish the race despite considerable pain in the final yards. Her mother has since posted Facebook information (and given permission for this post) that she was in the the top 10 runners and less than a half mile remaining when an injury to her right leg occurred (opposite to the one she has rehabbed for months.) I suspect her determination to fight through that pain ensured a trip to state for her teammates, but it unlikey she will be able to race there as she still can't apply pressue without pain. X-Rays did not show a break or fracture and she will be checked again in a few days for a possible muscle strain. -- Ted Wright -- Tuesday 10/28/2014
