The State Champs were escorted down Broadway while Main Street was closed with hundreds of kids on the streets and sidewalks about 6pm Saturday evening. The bus was returning the Cross Country team from Edmond and the other kids (& parents) were participating in Just Treats Halloween activities downtown.
This photo from the October 24th Regional showed Collinsville's Jenny Dyer pulling away from Tahlequah's Jessica Hembree near the end of the race. Dyer finished first at the Regional. Hembree finished first at State (Oct. 31st) with Dyer third.

Nov. 5th Update:
Arlin Stacy Named
Region 7 Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Collinsville's Girls Cross Country Coach Arlin Stacy has been selected by the coaches of Region 7 as Cross Country Coach of the year. Fresh off winning the 5A Girls State Championship Coach Stacy will represent Region 7 and now is automaticaly nominated to become Oklahoma Cross Country Coach of the year. That selection will be made in July at the Oklahoma Coaches Clinic in Tulsa. Congratulation Coach Stacy.
