Homecoming Parade

Zane McElroy (#4) took a cross-country trip from Collinsville's 14 down to Central's 22 yard line in the 2nd quarter setting up a Ethan Shambrook field goal. Conner Crutchfield had scored in the first quarter on a 1 yard run. McElroy scored on a 10 yard keeper in the 3rd quarter and 1 yard version in the 4th.

CCC Band's Volcano Made It's Debut At Halftime
T.J. Johnson (#6) tracked down this tipped pass but had it dislodged by the Tulsa Central defenders early in the first quarter.

Conner Crutchfield (#11) is behind a Cardinal blocker in the center of this photo as he scored the first points of the game on a 1 yard run with 1:44 left in the first quarter. Athen Shambrook's kick made the score 7-0.

Following Shambrook's field goal (at 8:14 in the 2nd quarter on 4th & 9 at the 11 for a 10-0 lead) Collinsville almost recovered the subsequent kickoff to Central. Brandon Lowe (#2) gained partial control of the kick before Central knocked it loose and recovered at the 31 yard line.
I'm happy to report than none of the Collinsville Crimson Cadets were seriously injured after being over-run by "lava" from the "Mt. Vesuvius" volcano eruption during their creative "Pompeii" halftime performance. -- Ted
The Cardinal defense stopping a Central runner for just a short gain near mid-field in the 2nd half.
Zane McElroy (#4) looks more like a defender than the quarterback as he ended up on top in the endzone at end of a 10 yard keeper. The touchdown came with 4:20 left in the 3rd quarter and Shambrook's kick set the score at 17-0.
This 10 yard pass from Zane McElroy (#4) to Carter Rasmussen came on the last play of the 3rd quarter.In the 4th quarter McElroy scored on a 1 yard keeper (at 8:50) and Central scored from inches out (at 4:27) for the 23-7 final score.
