2012-13 All-State Chours (L-R): Ethan Davis (Freshman), Megan Wallace, Molly Sanford, Nicole Roller, and Emily Wallace (7th Grade). They and the other Collinsville chorus members will preform Dec. 7th in the Christmas Concert (7pm at the Middle School Commons).

I wanted to let you know that my two JH All-State Chorus students have made it back from their Convention this past Saturday.

Emily Wallace is my 7th Grade Girl is an Alto 2.
Ethan Davis is my 9th Grade Guy is a Bass 2 and has top honors as a 3 TIME JH ALL-STATE MEMBER!

JH Males have an audition and JH Females have to go through 2 rounds of auditions where they must have 3 pieces prepared to sing for 3 judges. They are judged on voice quality, correct pitches, correct rhythms, dynamics (loud/quiet), diction (good vowel sounds and precise consonants so we don't SOUND like we are from the country), good intonation, and good phrasing. These students are one of the top 25 students in their section in the State of OKLAHOMA!

Thursday and Friday of this week will be All-State High School Chorus.

Jr High All-State Chorus: Emily Wallace is a 1st year member and Ethan is wearing a three-year member medal. The 220 voice choir was selected from over 2000 who participated in a competative audition.This year there were only 11 three-year medals awarded. -- Bob Humble 1/16/2013
