Home Representative Club Tea Report
Members of the Home Representative Club gathered at the Faith Fellowship Church on April 3, 2012 for the annual Sr. Tea, honoring graduating Collinsville girls and their mothers or guests. The tables were decorated with beautiful teapots, cups, saucers, and sprigs of ivy tied with ribbons. A large bouquet of fresh flowers decorated the serving table.

President Alberta Bonebrake opened the business meeting with a prayer for long-time member Bobbie Loveless, who passed away the same morning. Bobbie was an integral part of the Club for many, many years.

The official call to the GFWC OK NE Spring Council was read, stating that Haskell will be the host city on April 28, 2012. Members were also reminded that HRC will be hostessing opening day of the Designer Showcase home on the 27th, in the Maple Ridge area of Tulsa.

Guests for the Tea arrived shortly before 2:00 PM, - Secretary Susan Pratt welcomed the group, and introduced speaker Amy Pratt Green. Amy spoke to the Seniors about her journey after graduation from Collinsville High School, and how unexpected changes led her to often refocus on her career path, and learn more about herself each step of the way.

After photos were taken, Tea was served to the girls and their guests. Spring was in the air, as decisions were made between little sandwiches, petit fours, iced cookies, mini chicken salad cups, and peach tea.

Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.
