I'm not sure how Tyler Taber (#42) ended up with the ball (either an Oologah fumble or he just took it away?) but Oologah started the 2nd half with possession at Collinsville's 45 yard line before Taber's take away gave the Cards the ball at the 46.
Tyler Ames (#1) has launched a pass that Shane Goossen (#21) caught and took to Oologah's 37 yard line (below).
Hunter West (#33) carried down to the Oologah 18 yard line on this early 3rd quarter play.
These two photos are the same play (on Collinsville first possession of the 2nd half) with Joe Keith (#28) catching a pass tipped off Shane Goossen (#21 on the sideline). The play was as close as the Card's got to the endzone all evening. There was 2 yard loss on the next play then a fumble on a 4th down attempt with Oologah taking over at the 23.
Tyler Ames (#1) had to leap to field this snap but guided it into the hands of Hunter West (#33) for a 10 yard gain out to the 20 near the end of the 3rd quarter..
Will Wood (#44 far left) recovered an Oologah fumble (just out of view left) at Collinsville's 10 yard stopping a Mustang drive with 53 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
Derek Iannapollo (#10) received instruction from Coach McClure and encouragement from Tyler Lowe and Shane Douglass (both in street clothes) as he was called in for QB Tyler Ames when injured on the first play of the 4th quarter. Ames came back in a few plays later but was re-injured later.
Issac Dyer (#23) made this stop on Oologah's ball carrier but the Mustangs scored on the next play and kicked an extra point for the final 0-23 score.
The good news is that many CHS football underclassman got playing time tonight against Oologah. The bad news is that some had to play due to numerous injuries going into and during the game. Collinsville was shutout for the 2nd week in a row in a 0-23 loss to Oologah. -- Photos and more info later. -- Ted Wright 10:05pm Friday 9/17/2010
