CARDINAL FOOTBALL
Jr. Hi Update -- By Coach Redding
October 20, 2010

The song “Boys of Fall” by Kenny Chesney, many would say is a great song. But the song does not even come close to describe the thrill and excitement the Cardinal 7th, 8th, and 9th grade teams displayed Thursday night at Sallee Field , as the Catoosa Indians battled the Cardinals.
The three Collinsville teams appeared to be over matched early in each contest. The Cardinals reached deep down inside of themselves to show what
“Code Red” is all about. If you were to ask former head coach and now assistant superintendent Lance West, to define “Code Red” he would tell you, with a lump in his throat and a tear in his eye, it is about developing “Character”.
It took just that, “Character” Thursday night as the Cardinals swept the Indians in thrilling fashion.
The 7th grade (6-1) took advantage of each turnover during the game and won 34-16.
The 8th grade (6-1) kicked a 21 yard field goal to win in OT 11-8.
The 9th grade (6-1) overcame many mistakes early in the contest, to win 28-18.
No injuries were reported.
It’s great to be a CARDINAL!!!

The final game of the 2010 season is Monday, October 25, at Oologah. There will be a full schedule of games beginning at 5:00. Hope to see you there.

CARDINAL FOOTBALL -- Coach Redding's Jr Hi Update --October 19, 2010

Monday night the 18th grade “Blue” traveled to Skiatook for another Highway 20 grudge match. Both teams slugged it out, resulting in many turnovers. The Cardinal offense displayed speed on the corner, scoring twice on the sweep. The defense of the Cardinals was too much for the Bulldogs. The fierce hits and jarring tackles of the Cardinals caused the Bulldog running backs to fumble away the game. The score, 13-6, Cardinals Win! No injuries were reported.
Next action for the Cardinals is Tuesday, October, 19th at Sallee Field, hosting the Catoosa Indians, at 5:00.

Our team must come up with and present material on a topic of Biomedical Research. To be eligible for any award we must present our findings to the public.
