Girls Golf Is Underway! |
The
girls have a full team this year and played their first tournament on Tuesday
at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow. Paige DeLozier was a 6th place medalist out of
55 girls. The team placed 6th out of 10 teams. Not too bad for having to compete
with big schools! Team members this year are Paige DeLozier-Sr, Lacie Cook-Sr,
Jordan Michela-Soph, Victoria Collier-Soph and Madison Hoffman-Freshmen. Their
next tournament is Thursday at Tahlequah. |

Soccer Updates |
Hey
Ted, CHS soccer girls lost to catoosa 4-0, and the boys won 3-1. The rankings came out also and our boys are 14th in 5A and our girls are currently unranked. Catoosa is ranked 4 in 4A, so we took down a good team. -- Ethan Carothers (Tues. 3/9/2010) |
The
Lady Cards JV soccer team tied with Keys 1 - 1 in a rainy home match on Monday
night. Keys led 1-0 at the half. The Lady Cards came back to score with about
three minutes left in the second . Go Cards! -- Thanks, Debbie Gipson (Tues. 3/9/2010) |

Another Awning |
I noticed yesterday that the second (50+ year old) awning on the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville building was splitting away from its supports. I attempted to tie up the loose end today (as a temporary measure until I could either repair or remove the awning) but it split off the building into my hands instead. Time and money are both short but I will eventually have to remove the center section also and install new awnings. -- Ted Wright 3/10/2010 |
